As a company that is rooted in family farming and driven by the craft beer industry, having a community spirit is part of our culture. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and working to empower the people around us.

With this, we are committed to supporting our local communities and organizations that align with our values. As a global hop company, we have production and sales offices situated in several locations all over the world. Our network of family farms and the people that work for YCH are intricately connected to these local communities. It is our mission to make a positive impact on the places our employees and families live, work, and play.

We aim to promote community resilience, focusing on the following key areas:

  • Farmworker Community
  • ESL & Citizenship
  • Women Empowerment
  • Animal Welfare
  • Disability Assistance
  • Disaster Crisis Relief

If you are a member of a community organization looking for support, we would love to hear from you. Please keep in mind that we will give priority consideration to organizations that advance the above causes and foster growth and development within our communities. It is our belief that focusing our efforts on these areas will ultimately have a greater impact.

We allocate our charitable giving budget on a first come, first serve basis, usually a few months in advance, so please be mindful of this when submitting donation requests for specific events. Organizations that are a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are given preferential consideration. Educational institutions are not required to show proof of 501(c)(3) status.

YCH will NOT provide funding for the following types of requests:

  • Political organizations, candidates, or campaigns
  • Lobbying groups
  • Sponsorships/donations for the purpose of a single individual
  • Solicitations received by form letter that discriminate on the basis of age, race, gender, sexual orientation or national origin

All requests for funds must be submitted through the YCH online Donation Request Form linked below. Please allow up to two weeks for a response. If the contribution is approved, a check will be disbursed directly to the organization. If you have any questions regarding your application, please contact [email protected]

HOMEBREW CLUB DONATIONS:
 
Homebrewers are the original craft brewers of the industry. They are the passionate beer artisans that make brewing more than just a hobby. Yakima Chief Hops is proud to support and partner with the homebrew clubs that work so hard to encourage and empower their fellow homebrewers. If you are hosting an upcoming homebrew club event, we would love to assist with a donation. Whether it’s for a raffle to help raise funds, or prizes for a competition, we are happy to supply Yakima Chief Hops products, samples and swag.
